We have now moved away from Face-to-face First Aid Training to focus on Supply of Defibrillators and related products therefore we no longer offer Open First Aid Courses in York. 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work (FAIB Approved)

This 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work (FAIB Approved) course is ideal for staff working in low risk environments that present very few hazards. Employers should carry out an assessment of first aid needs to determine the number of staff required to be qualified in Emergency First Aid at Work. In some circumstances staff may require the 3 day First Aid at Work course depending on a number of factors such as hazards identified, staff medical conditions or number of employees to name a few.The Emergency First Aid at Work course complies with the current updated Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is FAIB approved.

Course content: first aid equipment & accident reporting / managing an incident / priorities of first aid / adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) / child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (optional) / defibrillation / treatment of choking adult (child and infant optional) / treatment of unconscious casualty including seizure / treatment of wounds and bleeding / treatment for shock / treatment of minor wounds and burns.

Assessment: Continuous assessment by trainer

Certificate: A First Rescue certificate, valid for three years, is issued on successful completion of the course. This course is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB)
