3 Day First Aid at Work (FAIB Approved)
The First Aid at Work (statutory) course complies with the current updated Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Successful students receive FAIB Approved certificates to show that they are qualified to be First Aiders in the workplace for the next three years.
Course content: first aid equipment & accident reporting / how to prevent cross infection / managing an incident / priorities of first aid / adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) / child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (optional) / defibrillation / treatment of choking adult (child and infant optional) / treatment of unconscious casualty including seizure / treatment of wounds and bleeding / treatment for shock / treatment for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes, splinters and bruises) / recognition and treatment of heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, diabetes & asthma / chest injuries / eye injuries / burns and scalds / poisoning / anaphylaxis / dealing with injuries to bones, muscles & joints / dealing with head & suspected spinal injuries.
Assessment: Continuous assessment by trainer & multiple choice questions
Certificate: A First Rescue certificate, valid for three years, is issued on successful completion of the course. This course is approved by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB)
This course can be delivered onsite at your premises or Open/Public training courses are ideal for individuals or companies who can only release a small number of staff at one time.
